GOOD TO KNOW
Created in 2013, the concept of a tense zone allows tenants to reduce
their notice period to 1 month—compared
to the previous three months—before
leaving their accommodation, if it is located in this zone. All rental
contracts for housing located in tense areas are subject to this reduced notice
period, regardless of their signature date.
Real Estate Law
Real estate law governs
all aspects of real estate—from construction to purchase/sale, including rental and
sublease, rental management, joint ownership and expense recovery. The scope of
real estate law is therefore very broad... and complex.
Using a lawyer
specialised in real estate law for disputes or litigation is strongly
recommended and encourages a serene and credible approach to the situation.
Issues in real estate
law:
- Construction: contracts, delivery, acceptance,
reservations, defects, expert opinions, repairs, structural damage, ten-year
warranty
- Renting: contracts, rent, expenses, notices,
evictions (housing, commerce, rural leases, tenant farming)
- Joint ownership: property
management, general meetings, joint ownership expenses, trade associations,
purchase and sale: our lawyers will assist you in negotiating your contracts
for your home as well as professional and commercial premises.
- Disputes between
neighbours: encroachment, access, trees, etc.
